Socceroos new coach
After former Melbourne Victory coach, Angelos "Ange" Postecoglou sensationally resigned in November 2017, just after the team qualified for Russia, the FFA have now signed a new coach for the Australian football team. Dutch manager Bert van Marwijk, who led Holland to the 2010 Football World Cup Final, was unveiled as the new Socceroos coach, was appointed head coach of the Socceroos in January 2018. Interestingly, the Dutchman's contract only lasts until the end of the Football World Cup. The appointment was greeted with a mixed reaction, with some worried about his aggressive 'anti-football' tactics. With little time left before the tournament begins in Russia, we will see if Van Marwijk can lead the Socceroos to glory this summer. So, cheer on the new Socceroos coach, and get tickets for the next Socceroos game right now.
