Seal background and music
Seal was born in 1963 to Nigerian and Brazilian parents. However, he was raised in England and, while doing odd jobs around London, he began performing in local bars before joining numerous small bands, including an English funk band called Push. Seal eventually emerged from England's house music scene in 1990 to become the most popular British soul vocalist of that decade. Although his earliest material still showed signs of acid house, by the mid-'90s he was known for a distinctive fusion of soul, folk, pop, dance, and rock that brought him success on both sides of the Atlantic. Early on, he enjoyed an especially high level of success. Despite the fact that Seal's most successful years were in the 90s, the singer is still producing music and, in total, has released ten studio albums - the most recent being 2017's Standards. Seal is also a coach on the Australian talent show The Voice. Seal is also famous for his distinctive facial scars, and a question that gets asked a lot is what is the cause of the scars on Seal's face. These are caused by a rare skin condition called lupus erythematosus and, even though his condition is in remission, the scars the singer bears are permanent. More importantly, who cares? After all, Seal is responsible for numerous R&B classics, and now you just might get to hear your favourite R&B anthems live in concert when you buy Seal tickets.
