Pendulum are an Australian group, formed in Perth in 2002 but now based in the UK. The original Pendulum members were Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen who worked with Perth DJ Paul "El Hornet" Harding. The group then expanded and now contains Peredur ap Gwynedd and KJ Sawka. An early Pendulum song "Vault" started making waves in the Drum'n'Bass community back in 2003 when it was featured on J Majik's Fabriclive album.
2005 saw the release of the debut Pendulum album Hold Your Colour. The album charted in Australia and the UK and was eventually certified Gold in Australia. Featuring songs like "Slam", "Tarantula" and "Fasten Your Seatbelts", this started an unprecedented period of success for the Australian DnB stars, culminating at the end of the year with an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. The second album In Silico was released in 2008 and preceded by the release of massive songs like "Propane Nightmares" and "Granite". In Silico would go on to reach Platinum status in the UK, as well as chart well in Australia and New Zealand. The third Pendulum album Immersion was released in 2010 and reached the Number One spot on the UK album chart and featured collaborations with The Prodigy and In Flames. Following the release of Immersion, Pendulum went on a huge world tour which featured two sold-out shows at Wembley Arena in London. Now, after a seven-year hiatus, Pendulum are back.
