Iron Maiden’s Rise To Heavy Metal Royalty
Iron Maiden is the legendary English heavy metal band that had its big successes in the 1980s. The band has produced over 37 original albums to date, many of which have achieved gold and platinum status with over 100 million copies sold worldwide. Not shy of the stage, they’ve also played over 2,000 live shows during their career so far. The band was the original pioneer of the new wave of heavy metal that appeared in the 1980s; a key force in the revival of the genre at that time, they injected new energy and dynamism into the format. Some of their greatest albums have included ‘The Number of the Beast’, ‘Powerslave’, ‘Somewhere in Time’ and ‘Seventh Son of a Seventh Son’. Iron Maiden is widely regarded as one of the most successful heavy metal bands ever, so if you haven't yet seen them playing in concert yet, what are you waiting for?
You can’t keep a great heavy metal band down
After a break and the return to the band of original lead singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith in 1999, Iron Maiden has experienced an impressive revival in popularity. In response they released a new album in 2010 called ‘The Final Frontier’, which made it to the number one slot in countries all over the world. Another album, ‘The Book of Souls’, followed in 2015, and due to demand from both loyal fans and those discovering the band for the first time, they took up world touring once more. A live concert of this group is a visually stunning performance, which typically includes impressive pyrotechnics and other elaborate visual effects that enhance the full-on heavy metal concert experience. Fans will get to hear all their old 1980s classics as well as songs from the 1990s and their more recent material. In short, Iron Maiden is one heavy metal band that stands head and shoulders above the rest!
