NSW Resale Restrictions

As of the 1st of June 2018, tickets to sporting or entertainment events in NSW that are subject to a resale restriction will be subject to the new legislative changes, as outlined in the updated Fair Trading Act 1987.

The new legislation states that you must not list a ticket to an event in NSW to which a resale restriction applies for more than 110% of the original purchase price, including transaction costs. By listing tickets on StubHub, you agree to the updated terms and conditions and understand that government penalties may apply for NSW listings subject to a resale restriction that are sold above the specified amount.

For such events, the law also requires you to specify the original purchase price or face value and the details of the location from which the ticket holder can view the event. At StubHub, we have implemented changes on our platform that allow you to list the original face value, as well as the details of the location from which the ticket holder can view the event. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
