True Texans love football, especially the Houston Texans football team. Led by all world defensive player J.J. Watt, the team is steaming up for the 2015 season. Last year, the team just missed the playoffs while missing future superstar Jedaveon Clowney for the entire season. While their results have been uneven, there is still hope that they will make a big comeback this upcoming season. Will they be able to match their best-ever record from 2012, where they finished at 12-4?
The Texans joined the NFL in 2002 as an expansion team after the Houston Oliers, Houston's previous franchise, moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Since then, they have become the Tenessee Titans. They currently play at the Reliant Stadium. They admittedly had a rough start, but things started to turn around after the signing of native Houstonian Gary Kubiak. After several seasons of success, the situation for the Texans started to tumble and went into a tailspin of losses. The most severe of which (a record 14-game losing streak in 2014) remains the worst in the franchise history. Upon this dramatic situation, team officials signed former Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien to take the reins of the team. It proved to be a good change for the team as they went on to defeat the Redskins, the Raiders and the Bills. Their lucky star faded, however, when they faced the New York Giants. That was the beginning of another bad period for the Texans as they lost three of their next four games, losing to the Indianapolis Colts, the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, which scotched their chances to qualify for the playoffs for a bare minimum.
All great men and all great teams have spent some time in the mud before rising up and show what they are made of and that's sure not going to be an exception for the Texans. Their time will come, so be there to show your support! Buy your Houston Texans tickets now on StubHub!
