What is the Big Bash League (BBL)?
The Big Bash League (BBL) is an Australian T20 cricket league established in 2011 which replaced the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. The BBL matches are played in Australia in the summer months of December, January and February and is normally extremely well-attended, with Big Bash League (BBL) tickets regularly selling out. But what is Twenty20 I hear you ask? Well, T20 is a short form of cricket in which each side faces only 20 overs each. Due to this shortened format, the risk of losing all ten wickets is less so scoring at a much higher rate is encouraged and it is genuinely seen as the most aggressive and attacking form of cricket in the sport.
