Bianca Del Rio is back
Roy Haylock is an American actor and comedian, better known by his drag queen and stage name Bianca Del Rio. He is most commonly seen in the New York City and New Orleans clubs, working with Lady Bunny on a weekly basis. As Bianca Del Rio, Haylock has won numerous awards and received stand-up recognition for his work. As Bianca Del Rio, she is known for her hateful comedy and is a self-confessed "clown in a gown", although she rarely gets complains because of the fast-paced nature of her shows. Bianca Del Rio History
Except for a short time in New York City after high school and most recently for work, Haylock has spent most of his life In Louisiana. His primary work is in costume designer, where his costume for Snow Queen won him the Big Easy Entertainment Award for Best Costume Design. Since that award in 1993, he has been nominated for 13 others, winning six of them. After performing as a drag artist in Pageant in 1996, Haylock was offered the chance to perform at the nightclub called Oz. Bianca Del Rio was born, and she would go on to win New Orleans Gay Entertainer of the Year for three years. One of Bianca Del Rio’s most notable events is at XL Nightclub in New York City with Lady Bunny. Bianca was also featured in Queens of Drag: NYC, a web series.
Notable Achievements of Bianca Del Rio
After the Queens of Drag feature, Bianca went on to appear in One Night StandUp: Dragtastic! NYC, produced by Logo TV. Hosted by Pandora Boxx, the episode was filmed live in 2013. That same year, Bianca took part in RuPaul’s Drag Race, along with 13 other contestants. Within the first few episodes, she became the fan-favourite and was crowned the winner of the sixth season. She is the only contestant to get through the competition without being placed low throughout the rounds and the second winner never have to lip sync to remain in the competition. Being of Hispanic descent makes her the first Hispanic winner of the competition. Most recently, she starred in Hurricane Bianca. The film was announced in 2013 but wasn’t released until 2016.
