Born of a club-singer and actress, Anastacia was always going to be destined for great things! Enrolling at the Professional Children’s School, the singer was actually diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of thirteen, an incurable bowel disease, and so Anastacia actually had to undergo an operation to remove a foot of her intestines. Being wheelchair bound, she actually had to relearn how to walk, and ever the determined girl, endeavoured to become a dancer, despite her affliction. This proved to be a good move for the singer, and Anastacia soon found herself making regular appearances as a dancer in Club MTV! By the early nineties, Anastacia even found herself, providing back-up vocals in a number of well-known RnB and Hip-Hop acts, including Jamie Foxx and Paula Abdul! It wasn’t until ninety-nine, when Anastacia was signed to a contract with Daylight Records! Needless to say, Anastacia has since become one of the biggest names in pop and soul music alike!
